Wednesday we hung round in Paracas until 2pm when our bus was due to depart. We started the long journey back about an hour late, there was flooding inland that had caused the delay. You would never know there are severe flooding issues in Peru at the time we were there- the entire country was suffering, unless you were a tourist, they really keep that away from us. Eventually the bus arrived, the same luxury as before, but knew we were going to miss our dinner reservation at Centralis- we had booked this 4 months previous and it was one of the things I was most excited about. Nothing to do but settle in for the long ride – I fell asleep in no time. A few hours later when I woke up – I was not feeling well at all, I had a fever and the shakes. We arrived in Lima at around 7:45pm and Sarah was there to greet us as cheerful as ever. They drove us to the apartment we had rented- Mariel apartments in Miraflores, an air b and b- what a great find. The 2 bedroom apartment was lovely. We quickly settled in and I went to bed. Frank walked a few blocks to Sangucheria la Lucha and picked up dinner. They all had delicious looking sandwiches, I could not face mine. Tomorrow I could only hope I would feel better.
